Under the supervision of the Manager/Supervisor, the Maintenance I maintains the mechanical, electronic and direct digital control (DDC) and electrical systems owned and operated by the School board includes i.e. plumbers, burner mechanics, electricians and other staff and services. Under the supervision of the Manager/Supervisor, Maintenance I oversees projects involving outside contractors, consultants and other workers. Qualifications and Experience:   Possesses a secondary school diploma and a two or three year community college technical/engineering diploma, or provincial Red Seal certification in a related trade, i.e. plumbing, heating, electrical, electronics, DDC. Broad based general maintenance skills and experience with institutional buildings are essential. A minimum of one year related work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is required.
