Summary of the role As a member of the Protections & Controls Team, the main responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer, Control/Automation will be as follows: Responsible for the electrical engineering of the control/automation system; Develop the engineering plan in collaboration with the project manager; Carry out project engineering with the collaboration of the technical team (technicians, CPI and engineers); Coordinate/review progress with the technical team and the project manager; Check and seal the drawings as well as the technical documentation produced under his supervision; Participate in design review meetings with the client; Supervise the development of the documents necessary for the manufacture of electrical panels; Prepare and document system testing and validation procedures; Participate/supervise acceptance tests with the client; Monitor progress and support the electrical commissioning team; Participate/supervise final tests on site during recommissioning; Act as a mentor for junior engineers on other projects; Participate in calls for tenders. Quality of leader and mentor, while working in a team; Experience in hydro power generation - an asset; Excellent organizational skills and attention to details; Proven ability in analyzing and solving technical problems; Working knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical - an asset; PLC and HMI programming, an asset; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; Available for commissioning on site as required.  What do we offer?
