The scope includes tailings and water retaining structures, as well as waste rock dumps, at closed mine sites in Canada (with a focus on BC sites). This role is primarily based out of Kimberley, BC; however, flexibility in terms of location is possible. This position is suitable for someone who enjoys working outdoors and is willing to travel to sites within Canada. It is critical that the successful candidate wholly embraces Teck's health and safety culture and at no time puts safety as a secondary priority in any work undertaken. This is a 2-year contract position with the possibility of extension or transition into a full-time role.
