NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION REPORTING The Maintenance Mechanic reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. He or she is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, etc. He or she is responsible for examining mechanical equipment to diagnose problems, disassemble machines and repair or replace broken parts, adjust functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary, clean and lubricate parts, order replacement parts, inspect completed repairs, perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, order new parts and equipment.
