The TOA primarily cleans up the formatting and sends consultations to primary care providers throughout the Northern Health region and occasionally beyond this region; checks and sends lab requisitions to the various testing locations throughout Northern Health after determining what location is closest to the patient; assists with booking population public health/MHO requests; follows up with questions about lab requisitions and test results from patients/providers/testing locations; sends sick notes to patients and assists the patients with retrieving their secured messages; assists as needed with double checking that all calls are finished or moved to the next provider, as needed. The TOA should also check to ensure that consistency is maintained for appointment bookings so that appointments display on the correct date and daybook and are scheduled or re-scheduled as appropriate.
