Grooms earn $16.93/hr. based on a 44 hour work week. Bonuses of 1% on horse's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place earnings. Thoroughbred Exercise Rider - must have at least five years' experience with Thoroughbred Racehorses, be able to teach the young horses the skills needed to race safely and effectively, maintain the conditioning on the older horses, detect any lameness issues early, suggest changes to individual horse's training regime to benefit them, and clean and maintain the tack and equipment used in training and racing.
