It’s a full-time (40 hours per week), permanent position, $32.00/hour, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Overtime compensation is based on the current BC Employment Standards Act (1.5 times the regular wage paid if the daily hours exceed 8 hours or the weekly hours exceed 40 hours). We don’t offer any employment benefits at this moment.Start date: ASAPNumber of positions available: 3Job duties:• Place, finish and repair concrete in landscaping construction projects such as patios and paths, retaining walls, and sidewalks for exterior areas;• Read and act on blueprints and other plan documents;• Mix cement, sand, and water to produce concrete, grout, or slurry using a hoe, trowel, tamper, scraper or concrete mixing machine;• Spread the concrete using shovels and rakes and level the freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specifications using straightedge or float;• Remove high spots to smooth the surface using a hand masonry trowel;• Wet concrete surface, and rub with stone to smooth surface and obtain specified finish;• Install anchor bolts, door sills, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete;• Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods to repair concrete, using a power saw and drill;• Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete and ensure that they have the desired depth and pitch;• Operate power vibrator to compact concrete.• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment;• Occasionally perform various carpentry and landscaping duties training will be provided if necessary.Requirements:• Must have at least 2 years of experience working with concrete;• Must have a valid driver’s license;• Must have knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various concrete finishing projects;• Previous experience as a concrete finisher in a landscaping company is an asset;• Previous experience as a carpenter and landscaper is an asset;• Must be able to speak, read and write in English;• Must have excellent communication skills, be a team player, and client focus.To apply, please email your resume to
