Working away from home, in the field across western Canada, for extended periods? Herbicide application and weed management? Weed identification and record keeping ? Inventory and equipment management? Equipment operation and maintenance? Quality customer contact and public relationsConditions of employment:? Be 18 years of age or older? Be able to pass a Drug (Cannabis) and Alcohol test? Have valid class 5 driver?s license for at least 2 years? Provide a driver?s abstract suitable to our insurance? Standard First Aid Level C certification with AED? H2S Alive? CSO/CSTS 2020These certifications are an added bonus:? UTV Safety Training? Herbicide Applicator License (BC, AB, SK, MB)? Wildlife/Bear Awareness? Class 1 or 3 driver?s license? Confined spaceWe want people who:? Have strong written and verbal communication skills? Have a great attitude and are safety focused? Are in good health, bondable and energetic? Are willing to work with others outdoors for long hours with overtimeExpected compensation for full season participation is as follows (this estimate is based on previous seasons; staff are paid hourly). Wages are $20-25 per hour depending on experience.First year VMT $14,000-$18,000 plus meal allowance paid over the course of the seasonSecond year VMT $16,000-$22,000 plus meal allowance paid over the course of the seasonThird year VMT $19,000-$24,000 plus meal allowance paid over the course of the seasonAccommodations and meal allowances are provided while working away from home base.
