S.C.O. Construction is looking for Carpenter Helpers to join our company. The selected candidates will be working at various locations on site in Kelowna, BC and surrounding area.Major Job duties include:- Preparing, fitting, assembling, joining, and removing structural formwork for concrete foundations as directed (flat surfaces, walls, columns, beams and shafts)- Understanding blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications- Preparing layouts in conformance with building codes and contract specifications with supervision- Assisting carpenters and tradespersons on site in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs- Loading and unloading construction materials, and move materials to construction sites- Maintaining a safe and clean job siteWe offer full time position with wage of $20 per hour for working flexible 40-45 hours per week.

Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areasErect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sitesMix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphaltAssist tradespersons such as carpenters, bricklayers, cement finishers, roofers and glaziers in construction activitiesAssist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activitiesAssist in aligning pipes and perform related activities during oil and gas pipeline constructionAssist in drilling and blasting rock at construction sitesAssist miners in excavating and in setting up and operating various drills and other surface mining machineryLevel earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovelAssist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
