QualificationsEducation and ExperienceA level of education, training and experience equivalent to a British Columbia or Inter-Provincial First or Second Class Certificate of competency as a Power Engineer or Mechanical Engineering Degree, supplemented with five (5) to seven (7) years' recent, related progressive supervisory and management experience in a large, complex unionized environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.CompetenciesDemonstrates the leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring and Courageous and creates the conditions for people to succeed. Professional/Technical Capabilities: Demonstrated interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to apply sound management skills in selecting, developing and coaching staff. Ability to prepare, reports and recommendations to multidisciplinary audiences, and consult individuals internal to the organization. Demonstrated project management experience. Ability to use spreadsheet and word processing, applications. Adaptable and flexible to meet changing priorities and resource constraints. Knowledge and experience with the operation of air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical and control systems, and human resources management. Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
