About Us As part of an alliance agreement Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). Beginning in 2023 Aecon will support the validation phase design, procurement, early site preparation and site mobilization scope for the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site. Reporting to the responsible Project Manager, this role will support work within the DNNP. About Us The Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) project is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, UECI and Framatome, located in Kincardine, Ontario. As part of an alliance agreement Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). Beginning in 2023 Aecon will support the validation phase design, procurement, early site preparation and site mobilization scope for the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site. Reporting to the responsible Quality Director, this role will support work within the DNNP. The Quality Specialist will be responsible for the development of quality associated documentation and processes which comply with customer contract, technical specifications, Code and Standard requirements and local jurisdictional requirements. The Quality Specialist will work closely with Project Management and will be responsible to assist with the development of Comprehensive Work Packages (CWPs) which includes development of Construction, Inspection & Test Plans (CITPs). This development work will be performed in accordance with an Integrated Quality Management Plan (IQMP) and a Project Execution Plan. The Quality Specialist shall identify and report quality problems and problems related to the effective implementation of the IQMP. What Youll Do Here: The Quality Specialist is responsible to identify verification, examination, testing requirements. The Quality Specialist shall have direct access to a level of management necessary to ensure that appropriate quality assurance and quality control requirements are implemented.
