PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONS As part of the greater remediation project at Giant Mine in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories; we have multiple opportunities ranging from entry-level positions to experienced professions such as Formwork Carpenters, Concrete Finishes and Labourers. These roles are projected to kick off early in March and will work a 14/7 rotation. Reporting to the appropriate site supervisor, the successful candidates will be responsible for deliverables of the project to ensure Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. achieves their general and specific project requirements. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Previous industrial experience an asset. The ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time. Manual dexterity. Good sense of balance when working on scaffolds. The ability to solve math problems quickly and accurately. The ability to get along well with others on a work team. Must have a strong understanding of safety procedures and policies on an industrial job site. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Repetitive movement. Able to perform in a fast-paced environment. Continuously changing work tasks. Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg. Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.
