This role is a full-time rotating, weekday schedule (two weeks of days, 2 weeks of afternoons, and two weeks of nights) Minimum of 40 hours per week with a rate starting at $46/hour. As a Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic, your responsibilities will include: Conduct regular maintenance checks on heavy-duty equipment, such as: Taylor, Kalmar & Warehouse forklifts Kenworth and Peterbilt chip trucks IMCO Chip trailers 966K loader 980H loader 988H loader Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. Identify and troubleshoot problems with engines, transmissions, braking systems, and other components of heavy-duty equipment. Utilize diagnostic tools (ET) and technical manuals to pinpoint issues and develop effective repair solutions. Perform routine inspections and replace worn or damaged parts to prevent equipment failures and increase longevity. Use welding and fabrication skills to repair or modify equipment components. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts used, repairs made, and hours worked. Provide detailed reports on the condition of equipment, maintenance performed, and recommendations for future actions.
