What is the Opportunity? Ensure completed packages are accurate and have been reviewed by the appropriate work groups. Work closely with QA Close-out review team to coordinate any outstanding tasks. Daily action tracking of scheduled tasks to assure schedule adherence and identify any required escalations. Liaise with client/ANI and other stakeholders as required to ensure packages include all required elements. Manage the timely and frequent reporting of progress of document closeout. About Us The Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) project is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, UECI and Framatome, located in Kincardine, Ontario. As a Requisitioning Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in providing leadership in managing/supervising construction projects by assisting in the project management and coordination of schedules, manpower, customer relations, engineering, and procurement. The Requisitioning Project Coordinator reports to the Project Manager and Materials Lead responsible for the project. Following the Project Managers / Materials Lead review of the project estimate, budget, commercial and the technical review of the project, the Requisitioning Project Coordinator directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering and construction requirements within the scope of a specified project. What You'll Do Here Carries out detailed constructability reviews to develop the engineering design requirements, project schedule, manpower and procurement requirements Plans and implements an engineering and construction program, including defining the project plan, activities, milestones, and manpower requirements Develops and maintains the project schedule and budget for the engineering and construction segments of the project Provides status report of project milestones and adjustment to schedules Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget Identifies project manpower requirements and coordinates manpower with appropriate trades and subcontractors Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, as built drawings, turnover documents, etc. Reviews project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications. What You Will Do Here Review commercial agreements, including requests for quotation, requests for proposals, confidentiality agreements, pre-bid agreements, purchase orders, subcontracts, contracts, consortium agreements, joint venture agreements and, having regard for their practical application and inherent risks, make recommendations to operating staff during the estimating, pre-award, construction, and post construction phases. Gather and relay key information from the field to the contracts team pertaining to impacts on the prime contract. Draft or amend contracts and commercial agreements. Prepare project specific contract administration manuals. Creation of project specific contract administration tools, policies, and procedures. Generally, assist and support the Contracts Manager or a member of the Legal/Commercial group. Assist project staff with the interpretation and practical application of contract documents. About Us The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and Atkins Realis located in Kincardine, Ontario. Shoreline Power Group is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program which replaces the main components of 6 reactors at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders as well as construction management and trade labor. This project is part of Bruce Powers Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Powers CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064. Reporting to the Shoreline Joint Venture Project Director, the Contracts Manager is responsible for leading the commercial team in tracking and preparing contract deliverables and notices, change order preparation and submission, and providing accurate and timely commercial advice, consistent with their education, training, and experience, all in accordance with home companies and Joint Venture Project requirements and policies. What You'll Do Here Overall responsibility for Contracts Management on the Shoreline Joint Venture projects Supervise and provide support to Shoreline Contract Management and Administration project personnel, ensuring that personnel are trained qualified and competent to perform their assigned tasks Review and negotiate commercial agreements, including requests for quotation, requests for proposals, confidentiality agreements, pre-bid agreements, purchase orders, subcontracts, contracts, consortium agreements, joint venture agreements and, having regard for their practical application and inherent risks, make recommendations to operating staff during the estimating, pre-award, construction, and post construction phases Draft or amend Departmental contracts and commercial agreements Prepare project specific contract administration manuals based on corporate template Assist project staff with the interpretation and practical application of contract documents Document significant events on Project Assist in formation and administration of contracts with Subcontractors and ensure that required and relevant terms and conditions are flowed down to Subcontractors Assist project staff with identification, documentation, and quantification of changes in the Work and claims Act as the point of contact to Bruce Power for contractual matters Liaise with and provide guidance on contract matters to Supervisor, other senior managers, and other team members Provide presentations and workshops, as required by the Supervisor, to the employees with respect to contract administration including, corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines, change and delay management Contribute to the revision and maintenance of Operating Policies and Procedures Obtain the assistance of the appropriate Legal department, as required Provide leadership to Commercial staff and direct reports Other duties as assigned What You Bring To The Team 10-15 years experience in the industrial engineering, procurement, or construction industry Technical or legal post-secondary education Knowledge of construction law, negotiating and drafting construction contracts Knowledge of project operations, policies, procedures, and strategic direction Understanding of construction planning, scheduling and management Experience dealing with labor obligations and their impact on the Project Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.) Good interpersonal and analytical skills Good planning & time management skills Good decision-making ability and negotiation skills Aecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization. What You'll Do Here Setting up and maintaining project documentation within project filing requirements Checking the quality of drawings and documents to be catalogued Receiving, tracking and monitoring drawings and documentation Interfacing with the project team to coordinate the control of documentation Generating transmittals to send documentation to external parties through electronic or hard copy means Checking the accuracy of transmittals Expediting the review of internal and external documentation within engineering departments What You Bring To The Team Five years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience Basic knowledge of engineering terminology Considerable experience working with and understanding drawings and documentation Proficient in using Electronic Document Management Systems Aecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
