We have one (1) position available on our day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm. Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):Responsible for NC programming in Mastercam for Vertical Mills (3 and 5 axis) and grinders (5 axis) to machine high tolerance industrial and aerospace components in accordance with OEM and customer specifications.Determine the sequence of machine operations, select the proper cutting tools, determine reference points, machine cutting paths, compute angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures required to machine components to required specifications.Responsible for creating process set-up sheets and tool setup sheets for CNC machined components to guide machine operators.Coordinating new machining development with other departments such as engineering and QualityComfortable to use the following for measuring and inspection: various types of micrometers and calipers, height gauge, indicators, edge finders, pin gauges and CMM.Perform First Article testing and NC program verification.Responsible for setting‑up all CNC milling and grinding jobs including material handling, tool and fixture set up, equipment preventive maintenance and verifying calibrations.Perform inspection and testing as needed to verify part compliance to customer requirementsUse inspection gauges and equipment to verify and audit development and production activitiesAssist operators with training and tasksCommunicate with line manager on priorities and schedule requirements.Performing maintenance checks and minor repairs on machines as needed, notifying maintenance when repairs are requiredTroubleshooting programming issuesPerforming necessary machine and program adjustments to achieve optimal performanceAdhere to all company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, policies for attendance and punctuality and standards for safety.Maintains 5S Standards, clean, well-organized work area while performing all assigned tasks in a manner consistent with company safety/environmental regulations.This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be exhaustive.
