Additional Information Responsible for supporting the day-to-day supervision of EMS Services Assign duties to frontline staff as required. Scheduling of ambulance staff according to specific collective agreements (in conjunction with schedulers where applicable). Activate staffing contingency plans to address unforeseen scheduling requirements, issues and vacancies. This includes both posted and confirmed schedules, short notice vacancies and special event standbys. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately, e.g. Patient Care Report Forms, Incident Reports, WCB forms and statistical information. Ensures all data entry for Patient Care Report Forms are completed and invoiced accurately. Ensures staff have proper resources by providing front-line leadership, training and support and facilitates training as required. Initiates the investigation, mitigates and escalates, as appropriate, all incidents. Ensures reporting and support occur for any events that may cause occupational stress injuries. Liaises with supervisors of police services, captains of fire departments, supervisors of other ambulance services as well as other health care managers and medical staff. Accept, assess, attempt to resolve and document Patient complaints. Supports the Medical First Responder and/or Community Paramedic Programs. Process LOA requests. Process expense and mileage claims.
