Job SummaryJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Quantitative Research Analyst to join the Quantitative Investments team at RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM). As a Quantitative Research Analyst, you will apply quantitative research methods to the development and enhancement of systematic and implementable investment models. Your success and that of the team will be driven by your expertise in quantitative analysis, combined with your passion for systematic quantitative equity investing. You will report to the Head of Research, Quantitative Investments.The Quantitative Investments team employs a systematic quantitative approach to the management of equity strategies implemented via mutual funds, hedge funds, segregated accounts and ETFs. The team takes a multi-factor approach to building and managing investment solutions. The models are data-driven and grounded in sound fundamental and economic rationale. It is a highly collaborative environment in which the research, portfolio management and systems development teams constantly interact. The team manages CAD$20bn of client investments.What will you do? The Senior SA/RCO will provide administrative support and facilitate submission of OICR investigators' grant applications to funding agencies and will receive, review, negotiate, and track award agreements. The Senior SA/RCO will be responsible for accountability requirements of funding sponsors and will work with OICR Principal Investigators (PI), leadership and the Manager, Research and Financial Reporting, to ensure compliance. The Senior SA/RCO will oversee the Institute's Responsible Conduct of Research and Research (RCR) Ethics training and will be responsible for liaising with the Institute's Research Ethics Board (REB) to ensure that all projects have appropriate approvals. The Senior SA/RCO will contribute to enhancing team efficiencies, developing strong infrastructure that is responsive to evolving stakeholder needs, and employing sound information management system(s).
