What you'll bring to WSP: University degree (minimum undergraduate) in in environmental or natural sciences, with a focus in conservation, reclamation, soil science and/or vegetation ecology; 3-5 years of relevant (post-degree) experience in reclamation assessments, revegetation planning, and environmental monitoring (soils and/or vegetation), along with associated technical reporting; Experience with soil classification and description; Experience with plant identification; Experience with research design and implementation, along with field data collection data analysis, is considered an asset; Knowledge of environmental and mining regulations is considered an asset; Knowledge of regional reclamation guidelines such as the Alberta 2010 Reclamation Criteria and Guidelines is considered an asset; Ability to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams; Possession of valid safety certificates such as First Aid, Ground Disturbance Level II, CSTS, and ATV/UTV/Argo is considered an asset; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent organizational abilities; Strong attention to detail and accuracy; Ability to travel throughout Western Canada; Valid drivers license and clean Driver's Abstract Professional status or eligibility for professional status with AIA, ASPB, and/or BCIA.
