The successful candidate will make an impact by using their technical skills and knowledge to help the manufacturing facilities reduce hazards and risk in the workplace. The incumbent is the Shift Engineer, and as such must have through, in-depth knowledge of the entire plant’s operation. The Shift Engineer is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient delivery of all services to the campus. This first-class plant is operated around the clock and rotating shift work (some of which are 12-hour shifts) is required. Requirements of the position include: A Second Class Power (Operating) Engineer certificate combined with operating experience in a large utilities plant with gas/oil operation; operating experience in a centrifugal chiller plant; and experience with diesel engines and air compressors.
