Ensure Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews (PHSRs) are properly completed including written reports to ensure compliance. Develops tools for identifying workplace hazards; develops plant-wide systems that support hazard recognition; develops an effective JHA, manages the JHA based program as a key component of the occupational safety and health management systems; enables plant to move from basic compliance to a pro-active safety management system. Respond to all serious incidents to ensure that proper investigation and follow up is completed. Ensure records and documentation are kept protecting Company interests. Coach all functional areas on addressing safety issues and how to address them. Oversees the maintenance and improvement of the site Fire Protection systems including early warning and suppression systems. Ensure that personal protective equipment is provided and being utilized, and all applicable record keeping is up to date.
