Duties:Reporting to the Manager, Operations and working alongside the HVAC&R Mechanic and Power Engineer, the Building Control Systems Technologist will play a key role in ensuring the facility is able to run at optimal comfort and efficiency levels with minimal downtime. Diagnoses and repairs pneumatic, electric, electronic and pressure operated building control systems. Responsibilities Repairs, maintains and installs heating, ventilating and air conditioning on a variety of systems such as pneumatic, electrical and electronic, based on manufacturers' recommendations. Prepares for work projects by performing operational and safety risk assessments, arranges work schedules with user departments, and assembles supplies, tools and equipment. Installs and repairs refrigeration systems such as fridges, freezers, coolers and ice machines. Installs motors, controls and switches, and threads piping for gas and other fluids. Repairs, maintains, calibrates and adjusts a variety of control systems such as electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and pressure operated systems. Operates and programs heating, ventilating and air conditioning and refrigeration equipment such as Building Automation Computer Systems.
