Job Skills / RequirementsOur Parking Enforcement officers are responsible for enforcing parking regulations on Alberta Health Services Property.We are currently hiring for the following Full-time position at the Red Deer Regional Hospital:Job Duties and Responsibilities: •Conduct patrols and create accurate reports and memos regarding all incidents•Enforce parking regulations by patrolling assigned site(s), issuing warnings and/or violation notices in accordance with parking enforcement guidelines, redirecting parkers to appropriate parking areas. • Provide excellent customer service, representing the parking business at the hospital • Be able to effectively communicate various parking services and direct parkers as applicable • Conduct vacant stall counts as required at various times of the day to monitor traffic volume and identify opportunities to improve parking services • Collect parking revenue from automated parking payment equipment • Check and replenish change and paper stock in automated parking payment equipment and clean equipment solar panels as needed• Performs minor equipment maintenance as needed within scope of practice• Report all equipment failures and problems to Parking Services for technical follow-up• During patrols, makes note of infrastructure and other repairs needs, parking lot hazards and incidents, reporting such to Protective Services and Parking Services in a timely manner• Provide escort services for parking booth attendants to the cash reconciliation center at the end of shift •Respond to and make radio dispatch calls regarding parking violations and complaints Job Requirements: • Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean 5 year drivers abstract • Standard Level C First Aid training is considered an asset • Demonstrate competency in English to the extent of reading and understanding written regulations, orders and instructions, and be able to compose legible reports• Ability to make quick decisions in emergency response situations with minimal supervision• Physically able to walk up to 30+ kilometers per day• Ability to handle private information with a high amount of discretion• Parking Enforcement experience would be considered an asset but not required Education Requirements (Any) High School Diploma/GEDCertification Requirements (All) Valid Class 5 Drivers LicenseAdditional Information / Benefits We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those applicants that are short listed will be contacted for an interview.This is a Part-Time position Number of Openings for this position: 1
