ROLE SUMMARY The Regional Investigations Manager is responsible for leading Asset Protection in internal investigations. Responsibilities include querying, reviewing, and understanding shrink, markdowns, returns, and sales/financial data, identifying trends in business and the retail industry, and understanding key operations processes with the stores. The Regional Investigations Manager will also provide support to the DVP of Asset Protection, Sr. District Asset Protection Managers, Inventory Control, and Finance in protecting company assets by communicating and assembling potential cases and/or providing additional data to support the areas in protecting the company assets While the primary focus is to mitigate risk, maintain continuity of operations, and safeguard the organization, this position is also responsible for communicating with and articulating the asset protection vision within the company and serves as an influencer across the industry. We are looking for someone who is: • Passionate about privacy and/or data protection • Quick study and fluent in the technical and privacy obligations and challenges present in large transformational projects. • Aware of privacy challenges (ie. third-party cookies, consent management, privacy by design) and has a strong understanding of data security technologies (data loss prevention, encryption, data discovery and mapping tools) • Is articulate and professional and excited to collaborate closely with clients daily and to support their business growth • Able to embrace and adapt well to ever-changing circumstances • A university graduate, with either a legal or technical focus • Pragmatic and able to balance multiple simultaneous engagements • Skilled in effective time management and prioritization • Fully proficient with written and spoken English • CIPP, CIPM, and/or CIPT certificates are considered an asset Federal reliability clearance (or demonstrated ability to get such clearance) is a requirement of the role Understanding of federal and provincial privacy regulations/standards Total Rewards The salary range for this position is $83,000 - $125,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
