In this role you will get to support the Giant Mine site.This is a full-time night onsite role and does not have in and out flight privileges. Candidates not local to Yellowknife will need to relocate. What You'll Be Doing:Under the general direction of the Safety Manager, ensures that subcontractors implement and comply with their safety plan and are in compliance with site policy. Conduct field inspections, document control and provide guidance on safety related issues. Coordinate emergency medical services, inventory control of basic PPE for all visitors, conduct portions of site orientations, and medical monitoring sample collection for all onsite workers.Represents the SH&E manager on project or program worksites.Administers job safety program; audits and inspects job site to detect and correct safety hazards.Monitors the safety performance of all construction operations in assigned job site areas with respect to one or more elements of ESHARP Management and the Parsons Corporate Safety & Health Processes.Assists with accidents record analysis.Conducts new hire safety orientation, daily safety huddles and weekly toolbox training.Perform administrative duties as required.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.What Required Skills You'll Bring:Experience on industrial sites or mines.Involvement with Joint Health and Safety Committees and asset.CSO/NCSO certification, or working towards a OH&S Certificate/ Diploma.Extensive knowledge of Canadian safety and health regulations, acts and reporting requirements.
