This is the place for you!Your role, as our Desalination EngineerAs an innovative thinker and true desalination specialist, our Desalination Engineer willl use his expertise in desalination to ensure our products meet the highest standards and bring innovative approaches to our methods within our dynamic innovation teamYour key duties and responsibilities as our Desalination Engineer :Support the design, engineering and analysis of pretreatment and reverse osmosis (RO) systems;Analyze system requirements to determine the optimal membrane for our reverse osmosis (RO) and pretreatment systems;Develop and review process and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) and process flow diagrams (PFDs);Develop and review control narratives and philosophies in coordination with Instruments & Controls (I&C) Engineer;Technical writing of system documentation such as specifications and operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals;Lead and participate in hazard and operability studies (HAZOPs);Develop factory acceptance test (FAT) plans;Support Engineering during detailed design/engineering, specification, procurement and construction of systems;Assist Field Engineering group and Instruments & Controls (I&C) Engineer in conducting vendor FAT’s;Assist Field Engineering group and I&C Engineer in system commissioning;Evaluate performance data during piloting, commissioning and operation/maintenance phases of Projects and assist with troubleshooting in collaboration with Gradient Operations;Stay abreast of best practices and industry trends;Monitor compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements;Carry out other duties as may be assigned according to the company needs.Our working environment and your future conditions of employment :Dedicated, hard-working and dynamic team - located in Sherbrooke, QC, or Dartmouth, NS;Stimulating and positive environment, where every day is different, and where responsibilities are many and varied;Group insurance paid 100% by Oneka, including medical, dental, vision and telemedicine.Four weeks’ vacation per year, so you can enjoy the things you love outside work;Our language requirement is to speak fluently in either French or English,Eligibility for the team member stock option program.Up for the challenge ? You are a fit with our team if you have :The desire to have a lasting impact on the future of our planet;A proven track record in designing and deploying water treatment and/or desalination systems; or in other connex fields (Pharma, Food, Oil & Gas, Specialty chemicals, etc.);A bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering;At least five years of experience in Process Engineering in the water industry;Previous experiences in areas such as designing and implementing physicochemical separations processes, including precipitation reactors, clarifiers, filter presses, ion exchange and filtration;Previous experiences with membrane filtration and reverse osmosis systems;An excellent analytical thinking, interpersonal/communication skills, writing and problem-solving capacities;Reliable, well-organized and detail oriented as personal qualities.

This is the place for you!Your role as Mechanical Engineer - Valve ExpertAs part of a growing design team, our Mechanical Engineer - Valve Expert will be responsible for the design of various components of Oneka's unique desalination systems.With your extensive expertise in design, testing, valve assembly and hydraulic components, you will bring your expertise to our innovation team, as well as having a consultative role in the design of many of the hydraulic elements found in our new product, in order to pursue the continuous improvement of our buoys.More specifically, here are your key responsibilities as Mechanical Engineer - Valve Expert:Design complex valves and hydraulic components for high-pressure desalination systems;Determine dimensional and geometric tolerances of assembly parts;Examine valves within our desalination process;Perform CFD simulations;Perform fatigue and wear analyses on hydraulic systems;Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in product development;Provide expertise in the design of hydraulic components for new products;Participate in the assembly, manufacturing and testing of new parts and systems (hands-on work).Our working environment and your future conditions of employment :Office based in Sherbrooke, within a dynamic and creative team;Stimulating, fast-paced and positive environment, where every day is different!Eligible for the Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP);Group insurance paid 100% by Oneka, including dental care;4 weeks' paid vacation when you start;Rapid growth: multiple challenges and development opportunities!
