The following general task descriptions are indicative of the work that the Contractor must perform. The ordering of tasks is not indicative of priority. The tasks may include, but are not limited to the following: Tasks: Design, build and implement the initial and ongoing maintenance software releases including all available enhancements, extensions, improvements, updates, upgrades, versions, renames, rewrites, version roll-back, and other modifications as deemed required by the TA based on RCAF business requirements Provide Delivery and Support Services to the AFCCIS ISS Organization to include installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of servers, software and related infrastructure supporting AFMIS. Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure in order to ensure that hosting system hardware, operating systems and software systems adhere to DND policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to; Conduct of the technical evaluation, configuration, testing and the implementation support needed to evaluate and implement system changes and/or Software releases. This task includes the development of a rollout plan and documentation, handover/training and transition to in-service support; Provide assistance with the business requirements gathering for the implementation of the Software, the user-specific processes and business rules, and design or configuring the Software to deliver the functionality that will support these processes and business rules; Prepare and create presentations to project management personnel, senior management and units when requested by the TA; Assist the ISS Team in creating user accounts and in assigning user privileges at the onset of the deployment; Participate in joint site surveys to identify data elements and related business processes that need to be captured at the survey sites and provide guidance in the initial preparation of the tool configuration steps; Install, configure and test the Software in Ottawa and at other RCAF locations across Canada. Some work can be done remotely while some configuration will occur on-site. Appendix 3 provides a list of potential locations; Provide support from Ottawa to the personnel deploying the Software at distant sites, and occasionally travelling to these sites to resolve issues; Support management of progress against key technology initiative action plans, track progress, issues and risks, report on status and communicate timelines and progress to TA for escalation as necessary; Maintain and support the AFMIS lab environment made of a collection of virtual machines which can be used to: develop and test applications, troubleshoot and diagnose problems associated with the suite of AFMIS applications; prepare and run a build-deploy-test workflow to test a solution in a laboratory before transitioning into production, develop production implementation plan and all associated documentation, run manual and automated tests and create reproducible bugs using the laboratory environment; and Respond to issues, problems and inquiries reported by the Client’s personnel for services that the software is expected to provide in accordance with product documentation. The Quality Control Inspector - Civil will report directly to the Quality Manager - Civil and will be responsible for performing in-process and final inspections to ensure construction activities meet technical and quality requirements. What is the Opportunity? Perform quality inspections and testing activities in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan. Complete all associated records to document the status and results of performed inspections. Understand and interpret technical drawings for civil works. Verify that material meets Purchase Order, Code, Standards requirements. Initiate non-conformance reports when required. Identify and segregating nonconforming items. Collaborate in the development and maintenance of project specific procedures and work instructions. Previous experience with inspection and testing of concrete. Working knowledge on the CSA A23.1, CSA A23.2, CSA N291 and CSA N287 standards and other applicable building regulations. Working knowledge on the CSA W47.1 and CSA W59 standards. ACI/CCIL certification (preferred) CSA W178 Level 1 or 2 Visual Welding Inspection (preferred). POSITION SUMMARY:The Quality Assurance Supervisor accountable managing Quality control team and for monitoring the effectiveness of the QMS at the plant level, supporting multiple plants as assigned.This position is responsible for coordinating activities for quality control team members who are involved in the testing and inspection of materials and in-process product, and for auditing processes against internal and external standards.The incumbent will provide a leadership to ensure that quality regulations for products, processes and employees are systematically monitored to provide optimum results with the least amount of wastes and process input. DUTIES: Maintain a safe working environment by aligning with corporate safety rules and regulations, and ensuring a culture of safety Ensure that the equipment and process operate efficiently and safely Provide support to the generation of HAA and SOP The health and safety of workers and others at the work site That the workers are aware of their health and safety responsibilities and duties Provides direction on prioritization of tasks and activities as per production plan requirements Identify and remove roadblocks for team and individuals Manage hiring core team members Mentor, coach and supervise quality control team members In collaboration with System Quality Assurance team and other departments, write/update detailed technical inspection & testing work instructions, checklist, and standard operating procedures. Support strategic implementation of Quality Assurance initiatives at the local plant. Support implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) elements and auditing processes. Support plant leadership and Quality Assurance team in non-conformance and related incident investigations from Root Cause Analysis to Corrective Action assignment and implementation - across multiple facilities. Provide periodical FTQ performance reports and update DMP board accordingly Track Quality KPIs and report findings using statistical/trend analysis during daily and weekly review meetings Manage NCRs and CAPAs process Perform process audits (Shell test, final test, shipping etc.) Support periodical external audits (UL, NSF, CSA) and solving queries resulting from the audits Submit UL and NSF samples for annual tests Maintain, update, and submit inspection test plans (ITPs) for all ETO tanks Manage equipment calibration program Identify roadblock and quality nonconformities in day-to-day production and communicate or investigate the issues to minimize or eliminate them Perform root cause analysis on customer complaints and field service issues Support for developing and updating SOPs as well as other technical documentations Perform first article inspections for new supplier qualification process Working with Industrial Engineering Team, Product Engineering Team, Sales, Procurement, Drafting, Production and Field Service Team ongoing projects Provide support activities to the other Tank plant(s) is needed Support Best in Class Cost Saving program and Lean best practices. Design and run projects related to quality, propose performance and cost justification for projects. Collaborate with other departments through cross-functional teams and meetings.  SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Minimum 6-10 years of prior experience in quality assurance/control in a manufacturing environment Bilingual French/English preferred but not required Previous experience managing and leading a large team is required. Reporting to the responsible Project Manager, this role will support work within the DNNP Balance of Plant overall construction scope which includes construction of the building structure, the Water overall Intake and Outtake, Tunnel, Switchyard Utilities, Offices, Warehouse, road, and underground services with a specific scope on site security perimeter as well as interface with other areas. The Jr. Project Coordinator coordinates the planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering, including in the production and execution of project documentation including Construction Work Packages within their defined scope. Reporting to the responsible Survey Assembly Manager, this role will support survey integration and success across all bundles and direct the Industrial Survey work and personnel of the Nuclear and Conventional Islands including the Reactor Building and Turbine Hall overall construction scope including containment, equipment, Reactor Pressure Vessel, and interface with other areas. During the validation phase the Superintendent will assist in the construction planning and reviews. In execution they will be responsible for the supervision, coordination and scheduling of survey and inspection activities for multiple scopes of work in compliance with the contract and the job cost estimate and ensures all the work is completed safely to acceptable standards of quality and workmanship. What You'll Do Here: Accountable for survey planning and execution on the Nuclear and Conventional Island including methods of survey and inspection, manpower levels, materials, tools & equipment, rentals, and work schedules. Develop and monitor project Control and Measurement Plans for high precision industrial mechanical and equipment layout, laser scanning and metrology inspection activities and identify risks, and issues across all bundles. Direct coordination of control and resources between project bundles to manage survey support of construction schedule priorities. Provides input and approve safety plans and procedures for survey and inspection tasks as required. Responsible for the implementation and enforcement of safety, quality, and human performance programs. Ensures that Aecon policies and project procedures are being adhered to and followed by survey personnel. Assume responsibility for productivity of direct hire trade labour and subcontractors, efficient use of materials and tools & equipment and contractual performance of the project. Understanding and support of applicable trade agreements. Application of home company discipline policies and appropriate escalation of performance concerns to Survey Assembly Manager. Ensure survey personnel complete all necessary training in areas of safety, quality assurance, technical qualifications, equipment operation and owner specified requirements. Review and provide support in the creation of survey quality, progress, or as built documentation. Ensure project survey is carried out in compliance with drawings, specifications, tolerances and project schedule and budget. Interface with client representatives, design engineers, consultants, other contractors, etc. Ensure project is constructed in accordance with QA Programs and project quality plans. Perform regular field tours to check survey progress and meet with project site personnel. Carry out site safety inspections. Participate in company-wide initiatives aimed at overall continuous improvement. Review and approve timesheets, expense reports, vacation requests, and training requests, within Limits of Authority. Responsible for performance management of all direct-report employees, including coaching/mentoring, assistance with career planning and training, preparation of yearly and mid-year performance reviews. Ensure all project staff and direct reports understand and comply with applicable code of conduct policies (Aecon and customer policy) Other duties as required or assigned. What You Bring to the Table: Minimum of 15 years Industrial Survey Supervision and planning experience. 2 years nuclear construction experience is an asset. Knowledge of all aspects of Industrial Survey such as: High Precision Plant Control networks adjustment, High Precision Instruments such as Total Stations, Laser Scanners and Trackers. Experienced in leading Industrial survey staff in reporting of quality and project controls deliverables. Must understand how to support a positive Nuclear Safety Culture. Experience in managing major complex Nuclear or Industrial projects. Ability to read and understand construction plans, isometrics, and specifications. Draft Initial planning and engineering sketches of existing site conditions and proposed CI/NI structures and components for use by the site planning team.
