You are detail-oriented with an emphasis on safety and a familiarity with good laboratory practices. The roll incorporates a diverse range of tasks from plant sampling, lab processing and report generation and will require you to multi-task, stay organized and prioritize your work. Since you will be engaging multiple partners across our site, strong communication and interpersonal skills will be vital.This opportunity works a 4x3 day schedule.Responsibilities: Be a Courageous Safety Leader, through promotion and adherence to established Safety and Environmental policies and procedures; Full working knowledge of GHS standards for lab safety; Data entry into Excel spreadsheets on a continuous basis; Producing daily and weekly production reports; Physical preparation of samples involving crushing, pulverizing, splitting and mixing of Mine and Mill samples; Benchtop flotation of Copper and Molybdenum containing ores and concentrate; Conduct On-Stream-Analyzer calibration sampling and circuit survey sampling work Various other job duties as asked by supervisor Qualifications: BCIT Chemical Sciences Technology diploma (or equivalent); Familiar with pressure filtration, sample preparation and comminution; Proven experience working safely with flotation cells and reagents; Experience in an active mill setting; Experience with the physical preparation and weighing of samples; Able to work continuously on their feet and lift up 50lbs; Able to pay attention to detail and review large sets of data; Three years related laboratory experience in an Metallurgy laboratory or mill environment Must have Grade 12 certification (or equivalent); Valid BC driver's license (class 7N minimum) or equivalent.
