Completion of a recognized Medical Terminology Course within the last five (5) years or an equivalent may be considered. Experience in detailed and accurate data entry. Experience using a variety of desktop tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience working in a medical setting in a hospital, clinic or physicians' office. As a Lab Technical Assistant you will be responsible for the preparation, setup, and limited test processing of specimens in the laboratory, and help deliver better health outcomes for patients through the delivery of fast and accurate test results. This is a Casual role with variable hours. Candidates must be available to work evenings, nights and weekends as required. In this role you will: Receive, accession, sort and prepare specimens for testing. Perform manual and automated testing procedures under the guidance of a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
