Through a collaborative process, the incumbent works with the Regional Manager ‐ Physical Plant Services and/or Director of Health Services where applicable, and provides input on the development, integration, maintenance and management of the Regional Physical Plant Services programs’ strategic plans, policies, processes, code and standard compliance through program working groups to accomplish corporate goals and objectives. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for the overall delivery and operation of Physical Plant Services at their designated site(s). The incumbent exercises an appropriate high level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. Come experience what work life balance is all about!Responsibilities: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Provide field engineering support during startup and commissioning of a state-of-the-art water treatment facility Work closely with the Maintenance execution team to develop and manage maintenance activities including contractor management, work order approval and prioritization, and shutdown planning and execution Develop a reliability program that balances preventative maintenance, cost, and facility availability requirements Direct engineering deliverables including engineering packages, conceptual desktop level studies, and capital and maintenance cost evaluations Participate in detailed design, maintainability, and reliability reviews for new operations to ensure maintenance requirements are met Support project and environmental risk management including participation in FMEA, HAZOPS, and environmental risk assessments Ability to read and work with Process Engineering Flow Scheme (PEFS) and Isometric Drawings Troubleshoot processing systems and implement design changes Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline Registered, or eligible for registration, with Engineers and Geoscientist of British Columbia (EGBC) Minimum three years of experience in a similar industry Maintenance or reliability experience in mining or an industrial operation Large project experience considered an asset Ability to lead a highly collaborative team with a focus on delivering value and promoting sharing of best practices across operations and projects Skilled in building relationships across multi-disciplinary technical teams and work as an effective team leader to deliver on project requirements Benefits:Teck employees receive a competitive compensation package that includes, but is not limited to, base salary plus the following benefits: Two Annual Bonus Plans Comprehensive Benefits Plan Retirement Package Employee Share Purchase Plan Health Lifestyle Account Salary Range: $101,000 - $125,000The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.Successful candidates must be willing to satisfy the pre-employment requirements of a pre-employment drug screen and three professional references.About TeckAt Teck, we value diversity.
