Job Summary The Production Manager reports directly to the owner/General Manager and is responsible for the overall operations and production flow within a fully equipped modern manufacturing facility. We are looking for a Design Engineer who will help us with both EV fleet infrastructure site designs and advance our EV charging products, systems, and applications. On a daily basis, you will carry out various engineering tasks, such as performing calculations, converting field sketches into construction drawing packages, as well as research to ensure our systems meet the various standards. What You'll Do Here: Provide Engineering Design, review, and analysis of EV Charging infrastructure projects Manage engineering projects and deliver them on time, define customer needs and requirements Produce detailed CAD drawings for the electrical design, including Single Line Diagrams, electrical details, wiring diagrams, underground cable details, site layouts for EV charging stations, and other projects as required Coordinate with other discipline engineers, designers, and CAD staff as part of a multidisciplinary team Complete electrical calculations, cable schedules, demand load calculations, etc. Carry out site assessments and surveys, to determine project feasibility Prepare site assessment reports, cost estimates, material take-offs Submit applications for Utility, ESA, and City permits if required Ensure that installations and applications are in line with customer needs and safety standards Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and apply new system processes Perform quality and performance analysis on new and legacy depots we installed or maintain Summarize data and report on test results Examine needs on new equipment, calculate costs and help prepare budgets Travel to project sites for product reliability evaluation and/or failure root cause analysis Travel to engineering/manufacturing facilities to review product design and manufacture, and to field sites to review installation, operation, and maintenance Manage stakeholder relationships to develop new business opportunities and promote complementary services What You Bring to the Team: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years work experience in commercial and industrial sector, or equivalent Proficiency designing electrical & power distribution systems in AutoCAD or Revit, with Revit being preferred Experienced in coordinating with Utility for transformer/power upgrades and primary/secondary service infrastructure Perform electrical engineering study & breaker settings (EasyPower, SKM, ETAP), perform electrical lighting calculations (photometrics and comcheck) Must have experience in project management of engineering design projects. The Senior Cost Specialist / Engineer will be responsible for the fuel cell product cost estimates that form the foundation of the fuel cell stack and module product roadmap. The candidate will work both independently and as part of cross functional project teams to gather and synthesize data, generate cost models and estimates, define cost reduction alternatives, and present recommendations to decision makers, then follow through on the agreed implementation of authorized options. Responsibilities: Supports cost analysis on all Fuel Cell application product developments. Performs research and interacts with suppliers to provide cost data needed to develop and verify cost models. Generates product cost volume curves based on identifiable cost reduction steps (i.e., volume pricing, design optimization and design for manufacture, reduced design process and manufacturing scrap, manufacturing process improvements, component substitution, optimized geographical location for manufacture, overhead reductions, etc.). Performs life cycle cost estimates and economic analyses. Disseminates product cost targets down to component level. Calculates feasibility of product options to reduce cost without impacting product form, fit, function or quality. Assists Marketing and Business Development with proposal and quotation generation. Assists supply chain in should cost analysis of supplied strategic components to provide cost reduction strategies for existing products and supplier and component selection direction based on lowest total cost of ownership of supplied components. Supports Cost Accounting in the establishment of standard costs and gross profit calculations, as well as cost forecast simulations. Creates and maintains cost estimate reference data. Establishes and maintains cost estimating procedures, guidelines, and standards. Special projects as required. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Industrial). Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in cost engineering. Commodity cost estimation background in automotive industry is preferred. Ability to read and understand engineering drawing, manufacturing solutions and supplier quotation breakdowns.
