PURPOSE OF JOB To pick and pack customer orders in an efficient and accurate manner in the warehouse PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Policies and Practices: • Comply with all company policies and procedures. • Maintains general cleanliness of all common areas, and other areas as assigned according to company standards. • Maintain a high degree of personal standards and conduct. • Accurate picking of bulk products and proper placement of shipping label so that it may be read by a scanner and/or other warehouse personnel. • Sorting of bulk pick labels between the various bulk areas as required. • Responsible for building pallets of non-conveyable items picked • Use of RF scanner when functioning as the case pack selector in the overstock area Information Resources: • Responsible for RF scanning and terminal use Financial: • Perform on the job in the most cost-effective manner • Properly secures company assets and physical inventory. • Ensure that operational supplies used in the warehouse are not wasted and are used in an efficient manner so as not to adversely impact the operational supplies budget. Material Resources: • Required to acquire certification to operate material handling equipment. Training will be provided by the company. • Responsible for the safe use of all material handling equipment. • Required to wear a full body harness with a retractable lanyard when using material handling equipment other than pallet or lift trucks. • Responsible for informing management of any maintenance issues regarding the equipment, common areas, and the general warehouse area. KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS Interpersonal Skills (Internal/External Contacts): • Required to communicate with Outbound and Inbound Associates, Call Centre Associates, and members of the front office team. Communication requires a normal level of courtesy. • Requires basic reading and arithmetic skills and command of the English language. Planning: • Required to plan some aspects of your own work according to priorities set by management. May at times be instructed to prioritize your own workload to complete all assigned tasks. Job Summary: You are an experienced and enthusiastic Truck Driver who and takes pride in safe and efficient operation. You will be operating a Pilot Truck and will be responsible for front and rear escorting of over-dimensional load trucks at the Pipeline sites. Responsibilities: Front escort to warn oncoming traffic an over-dimensional load is following, by traveling appropriate distance ahead of the load and displaying an approved dimensional sign and flashing lights Use two-way radio to warn the load driver of any potential problems ahead, including hazards, obstructions, or pedestrians on the road ahead Make sure vehicles are following the route specified on the permit Find safe places for vehicles to pull over to allow following traffic to pass safely Warn motorists, using proper flagging procedures, to stop at the entrance to narrow Take appropriate measures and stop or control traffic as required to allow side loads to safely cross over structures as required due to width of load Rear escort to warn traffic approaching from the rear that an over-dimensional load is ahead by traveling appropriate distance behind the load and by displaying an approved dimensional sign and flashing lights Use two-way radio to warn the load driver of flat tires, objects coming loose from the load, defective lights and other potential hazards the driver may not be aware of Notify the load driver and/or front escort vehicles of motorists attempting to pass the load Complete relevant paperwork as required by National safety and legal standards Maintain a clean and organized work environment Assisting in labour duties supporting in field trucking such as chaining down equipment, cleaning tracks Requirements: Must possess a valid class 5 driver's license Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing Must have previous experience as a pilot car driver working in BC Leadership experience in a related field will be an asset Additional Information: Company DescriptionLedcor Pipeline offers a unique set of pipeline services unmatched anywhere in the oil and gas industry.
