Primary Duties and Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, Avigilon is seeking an experienced, highly qualified and capable Business Analyst Team Lead. This role will be responsible for managing a team of Business Analysts driving business problem/opportunity identification, requirements management, business process analysis, and reporting project progress to leadership. • Responsible for process improvement projects by managing and coordinating or guiding Business Analysts within manufacturing and Supply Chain to develop solutions and support business processes enabled within SAP, Salesforce or enable with database development and other potential solution • Responsible for guiding Business Analysts with the analysis, design, development, implementation and support activities for equipment and instrumentation associated with the manufacturing of products • Provide oversight and guidance to Business Analysts on business requirements • Defining methodology and reviewing statistical analysis on data to ensure recommendations to key stakeholders achieve requirements of the business • Measures performance of solutions against process requirements • Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement • Evaluate current business processes, identify opportunities, and provide recommendations for changes to business processes using established methodology • Independently plan, prioritize, and coordinate complex and concurrent activities to meet deadlines in a constantly changing environment • Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives • Manage projects from inception to conclusion • Develop forecasting models for process data • Track and monitor key projects or urgent requirements • Present analysis results to various groups and individuals, including senior management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (indicate preferred or required) • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations • Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills • Ability to take initiative and exercise excellent judgment • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access, SQL and working knowledge of VBA • In-depth SAP knowledge in manufacturing • Experience with forecasting • Self-motivated and action oriented, with demonstrated track record of pursuing work with energy, drive, and a strong accomplishment orientation • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (reading, writing, listening, oral, presentation) Exceptional interpersonal skills; Able to build strong and successful long-term working relationships, Strong ability to achieve objectives by working with others in an organizational context • Ability to handle changing priorities and manage workload Education: • Bachelor Degree in business administration, a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, or an accounting designation or Diploma in Business Analytics, Economics, Logistics or Supply Chain Management • APICS Certification preferred Experience: • Minimum 5 years prior experience in a similar Management role • Experience in Manufacturing areas and businesses • Experience with Agile is an asset Working Conditions (i.e. lifting, standing for long periods) • Working in an office environment • Sitting for extended periods of time • Working primarily with computers and other office supplies Perks and Benefits: As a full-time employee at Avigilon, you are eligible to receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes MSP, extended health, dental, and medical insurance while travelling. The purpose of this position to close a gap within Aecon Nuclear to set a standard practice for Materials Management, and eliminate inconsistencies across the division, with the end goal to deliver a streamlined materials solution to our construction sites. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and establish a standardized Materials Management philosophy across the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). Develop and roll out a Material and Inventory Control Program for tracking materials in accordance with our Quality Program. Train and Onboard new Material Management Staff across the project. Leverage existing technologies in place at Aecon for implementation into Aecon Nuclear, and work with our corporate Business Team to deliver solutions to our work face. Engage with the Process Improvement group to identify project challenges and deliver solutions within Materials Management. Interface with the Project Managers and Construction Mangers on project setup to establish the site materials management program, including warehouse, laydown, equipment and staff requirements. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 10+ years of engineering and/or construction project experience, experience in materials management, and logistics an asset; Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team. What You Will Bring to the Team: Proven retail management experience. Experience with Return to Vendor, Transfers, Markdowns, Mark ups, Productivity in regard to receiving of Merchandise and placement. If required, ability to lift/move up to 50lbs, including reaching, crouching and climbing ladders. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays. Your challenges: The Logistics Analyst will be responsible to identify and implement more efficient and cost effective ways of delivery while upholding service level agreements. The successful candidate will operate as a team member, sharing information and objectives with a group of Supply Chain professionals who are striving for excellence. More specifically, you will focus on the following areas: Establish strategic distribution plan for assigned mills; Establish strategic trucking, intermodal and rail plans for assigned mills; Negotiate trucking and intermodal carrier contracts to support strategic distribution; Drive freight cost analysis to identify opportunities on mode / distribution shifts and recommend improvements; Weekly monitoring of mill shipments. Review carrier usage and mode split; Work with internal partners (Planning, Network Optimization, Procurement, and Sales) to determine optimal mode distribution and provide the required support to the mills for implementation and execution; Monitor Optimal Mode execution and identify opportunities for freight reductions; Provide operational support to mills, Customer Service and Sales as required; Support the mills to address in-transit issues; Monthly review of carrier performance Develop strategies for dealing with contingencies, emergencies and special situations; Proactively improve, in collaboration with the divisions and sales the network in order to optimise it, reduce costs and create synergies. Your team: Reporting to the Domestic Manager you will be part of a results oriented team where exceeding expectation is encouraged. Your profile: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations, Production Management or Supply Chain; 3 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain or Logistics. Your skills & assets: Excellent communication skills in English and French and ability to clearly explain complex ideas, due to regular interactions with internal and external clients located outside Quebec; Thorough knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.); Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team, to communicate with all levels of the organization and to quickly adapt to change; Excellent skills in problems solving; Ability to multitask and to meet tight deadlines; Willingness to make clients and their needs a priority; Solid planning and organizational skills; Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
