Our two residences, Raido House and Windsor Park, provide a continuum of care with services of housing and support, life skills enhancement and access to community resources. The Position Reporting to the Team Leader, the Youth Worker will be knowledgeable about the issues youth face in the cycle of homelessness. This position will work alongside the Roofs for Youth team to:Support both Raido House and Windsor Park  Provide guidance, support, and supervision to residents Deal with routine and crisis situations Maintain a creative and sensitive approach in meeting the needs of the residents Role model of healthy behaviour for residents Complete all documentation and write case notes Attend to cleaning and meal preparation Provide support to residents to develop independent living skills Knowledge of Housing First and Harm Reduction​ Relief Staff will have a post-secondary education in a relevant discipline; and two years’ experience working with the target population or a combination of both will be considered. The successful candidate will be trauma-informed, knowledgeable of the Natural Supports Practice Framework, exhibit strong boundaries, communication, and relationship-building skills, and have crisis-prevention and problem-solving skills.
