RESPONSIBILITIES: The principal role of the Camp Security Team is to deter and detect activities that could result in harm to, or loss of, project personnel, assets, equipment, environment, or reputation. The Project's security program is in place to protect people, assets, and the operations of the Project from a broad variety of threats and hazards which can result in harm and losses. These threats and hazards could be related to careless behavior, accidents, errors, crime, or unethical and unprofessional conduct.• Access Control: 100% verification checks will be conducted of all persons and vehicles entering sites.• ETMP Verification: Verification of all equipment, tools and material leaving site via the ETMP process• Inspections and Searches: Cursory inspections will be conducted of all persons, vehicles, equipment, and cargo entering the site. Detailed searches will be conducted at random, or for cause - including of personal property, vehicles, on site• Patrols: Random mobile patrols will be conducted of all perimeters, work sites, docks, laydowns and facilities on the lease. Foot patrols may be conducted of specific buildings and facilities, especially after normal work hours.• ID and Badging: All persons and vehicles entering the site will be required to be registered with the Project and provided an ID card/badge or vehicle pass before entering site. Within the assigned area, this position monitors roadways and may operate from Vehicle Inspection Stations or from an emergency equipped vehicle. The CTEO conducts safety inspections on commercial vehicles and drivers. Inspections are mechanical and regulatory in nature.Additionally, the CTEO is an enforcement authority as a Commercial Transport Inspector and, as a British Columbia Peace Officer, will enforce provisions of the related and relevant acts. This may include issuing warnings and prosecution notices, delaying or detaining vehicles and/or drivers, patrolling and monitoring highways, and many other activities to help secure safer highways for British Columbians.For more information, check out our CVSE website .Job Requirements: Secondary school graduation or equivalent. Experience providing customer service in a fast-paced environment. Experience interpreting and applying policy and/or procedures. Valid BC Class 5 (minimum) Driver's Licence in good standing with no more than nine (9) points within the last five (5) year period with no suspensions or prohibitions. Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following: One (1) year or more of experience in Commercial Vehicle Enforcement and/or applicants who are Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance certified. Experience in Road Transportation or Law Enforcement. Experience interpreting and applying acts, regulations, and legislation. Experience delivering and conducting presentations and seminars.
