Position Overview The Surgery Regional Nurse Educator is an integral part of the WRHA surgery teams. This individual works closely with regional staff and site educators to create and deliver educational sessions and educational tools/resources. The Surgery Regional Nurse Educator is involved in regional and site OR training programs, nursing practice standards including ORNAC standards and continuing education for perioperative staff within WRHA. Under the general supervision of the Director of Collaborative Practice and the WRHA Change Lead for Surgery, and in collaboration with the site Surgery Program Educators, the incumbent is responsible for: Regional and site OR training program development for OR nursing staff including R.N.s, HCA’s Regional and site teaching and learning activities Nursing practice standards including ORNAC standards.
