I work in permanent and temporary positions in the Greater Montreal Region.I am looking for a CPA Controller for a distribution company located in Anjou. The Controller will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounting and team supervision. This position is permanent, full-time, with the possibility of remote work.* Administer general accounting. * Supervise staff in the areas of accounting, taxation and cost analysis (accounting team of 6 people). * Consolidate the company's fixed assets and operating budgets, verify credit requests against approved budgets to ensure the availability of funds before committing them; and exercise accounting control to ensure that budgeted expenditures do not exceed authorized amounts. * Interpret operating results that affect the financial aspects of the business, and make specific recommendations that will reduce costs and improve the profitability of the business. * Supervise the maintenance of the company's chart of accounts and assign new classifications if necessary. * Take responsibility for the correct and accurate accounting classification of all expenses and documentation, including capital and other expenditures. * Manage the preparation of statistics for periodic and annual financial statements, including the preparation of tables and charts showing progress, conditions and results. * Certify supporting documents for payment by the Treasurer's Department. * Supervise the payroll process.* Be bilingual (advanced French/English) * Have completed your BAC in accounting or other related field and have your CPA title * Worked for at least 7 years as an accountant or financial controller or other Relevant experience * Have experience developing and administering internal controls * Play a supervisory role for 2 to 3 years. * Have experience in accounting in the corporate and public sector. * Have worked at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment. * Have a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. * Have excellent oral and written communication skills (French and English), as the position requires communicating daily with our colleagues in Ontario and the United States. * Have Microsoft Excel as your daily best friend. * Have experience managing IT/payroll/accounting system change.
