Summary of the role As a member of the Andritz Hydro Mechanical Design Team Turbine, located in Pointe-Claire, the selected candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design of new & refurbish Francis, Kaplan and propeller turbine units.  Collaborate with hydraulic and mechanical design engineers, drafters and project teams to complete the turbine design to meet specification requirements while optimizing costs over the project cycle; Performs analytical design calculations (stresses and strains) and technical specifications, in accordance with internal design practices and industry requirements; Produce engineering instructions for manufacturing and installation; Tracks and updates engineering budgets and schedule with project teams; Organize and participate in design reviews; Review and seal technical documentation produced by himself/herself or under his/her supervision;  Provide technical support for the manufacturing and installation of turbines or generators; Participate in the development and maintenance of tools and design practices; Participate in problem solving and root cause identification; Prepares technical bid documentation as required.  Why do you fit the profile?Successful teams share objectives, and they also share values!
