Day in the Life: The Building Operator will function under the direction and support of the Lead Building Operator. Your Responsibilities • Performs shift pre-inspections as outlined by Ontario Health and Safety Act (OHSA), on all material handling equipment. • Ensures material handling equipment and batteries are maintained and charged based on the manufactures guidelines and recommendations, and department standards. • Ensure all supply racks are filled with raw material. • Exclusively responsible for moving raw material in and out of the designated rows throughout the plant. • Based on work order, retrieves correct level parts from home locations. • Greases specific purchase material prior to taking them to the assembly line. • Ensure that components, skids, etc., are available to line operators on an as needed basis. • Remove old labels from empty returnable containers for finished goods. • Remove scrap, cardboard and garbage from the line area and dispose of it according to procedures provided. • Ensure product rotation (First in, First out procedure - FIFO), is maintained for all material. • Focus on supporting the production lines while avoiding excess inventory on line. • Straightening skids, boxes, and bins throughout the plant, removing labels and debris from empty customer totes. • Organizes line changeovers in advance and returns all parts and or containers, which are not used, back to the warehouse home locations. • Placing partial skids back on racks. • Verify finished goods tote quantity match master label. • Verify label presence on all finished goods totes and stretch wrap skids when applicable. • Band skids and deliver to toll gate when applicable. • Back up the Shipper/Receiver. • Operate Industrial Sit-Down and Reach type forklift and ensure it is in good working order. • Decanting material from large bins or boxes into totes as required. Industrial Electrician

As an industry leading corrugated product manufacturer, we are committed to supplying structurally and aesthetically appealing corrugated material within a quick time frame.We are an ever-growing and ever-changing company that is currently seeking a highlight motivated Industrial Electrician to drive a proactive plant maintenance culture, and support the execution of maintenance and repair on electrical and mechanical equipment and systems. The Industrial Electrician is also responsible for ensuring maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure all work is performed safely, to specifications, instructions, and using best practices.Ensure the operating equipment is thoroughly inspected, and perform preventative maintenance on a routine basis.Ensure all safety devices are in place and functional.Apply technical skills to troubleshoot breakdowns and make necessary repairs in a timely manner.Interpret blueprints, plans, and schematics, attend meetings, and complete requisitions for parts and supplies.Regularly communicate with shift supervisors and machine operators regarding the status of equipment.Install, maintain, repair, service, troubleshoot, and diagnose packaging related equipment.Conduct preventative maintenance programs.Perform equipment adjustments and changeovers as required.Analyze equipment downtime, determine root cause, and recommend countermeasures.Work closely with production to resolve equipment issues.Install, examine, replace or repair electrical components including programmable logic controls, motors and controls, generators, instrumentation, lighting fixtures, safety sensors, etc.Maintain accurate records of all service, repair, and other work. Requirements:Licensed Industrial Electrician (442A)5+ years’ experience in industrial electrical equipment maintenance and repair; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.Corrugated packaging equipment experience an asset.Project managements skills: desire to take responsibility for a project and see it through to completion.The ability to respond quickly to process upsets.Must have strong PLC background.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, schematics, and manuals.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to communicate comfortably in both verbal and written correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, and small group situations to other employees of the organization.Must provide tools for individual use, including skilled in the use of hand and power tools and to use the measurement devices required to support role. Work Environment:Full time steady days for an independent, non-integrated corrugated sheets plant focused on providing quality corrugated products.Work is in an industrial environment; depending on the area conditions may be hot, cold, dirty, dusty, damp, or noisy at times.Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to success of the operations in general, as well as contributing to the overall positive team environment.Overtime may be required to meet customer demand. Working Relationships:Production/ Quality 90%Shipping 5%Scheduling 5% We are committed to equal opportunity employment. The Industrial Mechanic is also responsible for ensuring maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure all work is performed safely, to specifications, instructions, and using best practices.Ensure the operating equipment is thoroughly inspected and perform preventative maintenance on a routine basis.Ensure all safety devices are in place and functional.Apply technical skills to troubleshoot breakdowns and make necessary repairs in a timely manner.Regularly communicate with shift supervisors and machine operators regarding the status of equipment.Install, maintain, repair, service, troubleshoot, and diagnose packaging related equipment.Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools as required.Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and issues and determine which outsourced partners to work with.Record maintenance and repair work performed.Perform routine preventive maintenance under preset maintenance program to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly.Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.Responsible to maintain and sign off on maintenance reports for all equipment.Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools. Requirements:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)5+ years’ experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.Corrugated packaging equipment experience an asset.Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, as well as the use of measurement devices.Experience in welding and fabrication preferred.Able to read and interpret blue prints, plans, and manuals.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to communicate comfortably in both verbal and written correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.Must provide tools for individual use. Working Conditions:High heat and noise levelsOccasional kneeling, reaching above shoulder, working at heights, and climbing stepsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work in shifts (days, afternoons, nights – rotating weekly)Ability to work occasional overtime or weekends as required for preventative maintenanceWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Working Relationships:Production/ Quality 90%Shipping 5%Scheduling 5% We are committed to equal opportunity employment.
