Please be specific and include information related to any past teaching experience.Candidates must demonstrate commitment to teaching, learning and student success through scholarship and institutional service. Successful candidates will participate in a wide range of activities outside the classroom, including student support; institutional, faculty and departmental committee meetings and other initiatives; and professional activities in keeping with their disciplines in and outside the institution.Required Qualifications:A Doctoral degree related to Tourism Management, Recreation or Leisure from an appropriately accredited institution and recent and relevant teaching and research experience is required. Doctoral candidates (ABD) will be considered if the candidate can demonstrate completion within 6 months of appointment start date. This position requires expertise in research methods and quantitative data analysis in the broad area of tourism, recreation, leisure management such as, experiential tourism, event management, tourist motivations and behaviours and/or recreation management and leadership.A strong focus on teaching and student learning, demonstrated competency working effectively in a team-oriented environment and responsiveness to diverse learning styles, cultural and academic backgrounds. Excellent communication skills, with a strong interest and proven abilities in working in a cross cultural and learning-centered environment, diverse learning styles, cultural and academic backgrounds.
