The mechanic supervises the work of a non-certified mechanic, who assists with routine maintenance and repair tasks, and also helps the mechanic with heavy or big jobs. The job requires that changes be recommended to established methods or procedures. Work involves a choice of methods or procedures or sequence of operation. Unusual problems are referred to the Transportation Manager.
