Description Job Summary:You are a Labourer with 1-3+ years of experience in underground utility construction working on Outside Plant (OSP) construction. They have overseen and constructed hundreds of millions of dollars worth of municipal and Metro Vancouver contracts. Their project portfolio includes sewer, water, hydro and gas line projects as well as district energy services, environmental, storm pipes, site service/earthworks, trenchless and PRV Stations. ABOUT THE POSITION Coordinate all the manpower, materials and trade contractors for assigned project. Ensure that required tools, materials and equipment are available for completion of project. Promote and enforce trades and subcontractors compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented. Maintain liaison with other departments (i.e., material control, purchasing, quality control, engineering) to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections support trade activities and project schedule. Mentor all site staff as it relates to company policies, procedures and work requirements. Conduct and/or direct project safety meetings. Supervise foremen assigned to area of responsibility and provide liaison between field engineering, estimating and trades to ensure compliance of construction with drawings and specifications THE REQUIREMENTS 5+ years experience with earthworks and underground utilities Experience with underground structures and piping 5+ years as a Civil Foreman Exceptional communication skills Understand OH&S safe work practices and procedures COMPENSATION $45 - $50 per hour depending on experience 3 weeks vacation Company truck, fuel card, phone and laptop provided Comprehensive benefits package HOW TO APPLY Please apply directly to this posting with the most recent version of your resume.
