The SPC team is responsible for managing the pursuit process across the country for both our public and private sector marketplace, spanning all BDO industries and services. The SPC team are dedicated proposal experts who understand the way both private and Canadian public sector organizations buy. We provide end-to-end services in the preparation, execution and follow-up stages of the pursuit process to help BDO win in the market. Our team is currently seeking a Manager. This candidate would ideally work out of BDO’s Ottawa, Montreal or Toronto office with the option to work remotely as per BDO policy. Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities Manage the strategic pursuit centres intake process for engaging new clients including assessing opportunities, assigning the appropriate support level, and communicating the details to both our client as well as the team member assignedManage the resources within either the private and/or public sector team to ensure they are being optimally utilized, are delivering high quality deliverables and are managing all aspects of the pursuit to mitigate any potential risksManage the operations of the team including being a coach to junior team members to develop their career growth and meet with them regularlyEnsure we are sharing sales intelligence with the firms national sales office to work seamlessly across sales teams including business developers, account managers and programs such as the Sales Deal Review Board (SDRB) qualification process andMUST Win programIn addition to managing the team you will work on pursuits by supporting the entire proposal process for strategic proposal responses from proposal kick-off, project management to final submissionCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the proposal processProviding RFx review and analysis, custom response template development, and end-to-end pursuit management.Work to ensure BDO’s responses to solicitations help differentiate our services, are competitive, compliant, and high scoringSupport the orals presentation processAssist with debriefs for each win/loss supportedEnsure BDO’s International Corporate Visual Identity Standards and National brand standards are adhered to.How do we define success for your role?• You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspects of your work: Integrity, Respect and Collaboration• You understand your client’s industry, challenges, and opportunities; client describe you as positive, professional, and delivering high-quality work• You identify, recommend, and are focused on effective service delivery to your clients• You share in an inclusive and engaging work environment that develops, retains & attracts talent• You actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace• You grow your expertise through learning and professional development.Education And Professional Skills/KnowledgeUniversity Degree i.e., communications, marketing, business, or related discipline5+ years of work experience in proposal coordination, development, and managementExperience with understanding the proposal process ideally in both private and public sector industriesA well-organized individual who enjoys project related work, tight deadlines, problem-solving and wants to be part of a fast-paced team.Confidence coordinating teams and managing upwards.An understanding of Project Management tools and concepts that will aid the proposal process and the bidding team.Excellent written, interpersonal, communication and consensus management skills are vital.Ability to prioritize workloads and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlinesProcess improvement mindset that is continuously striving to evolve our ways of working and improve the end-user experienceExperience in virtual pursuit leadership and cultivating cross-functional team collaborationStrong experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.Additional Assets:Experience working in a professional services firmBilingual (French and English) an assetExperience in managing other team members/resourcesAbility to work in an agile environmentWhy BDO?Our people-first approach to talent has earned us a spot among Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2024.
