The position is located in our Intergenerational Wellness Building at the redeveloped Queen Street Site of CAMH. As an integral part of the ambitious growth agenda for CAMH, the Child and Family Services clinics serve children, youth and emerging adults who have mental health and/or addiction challenges along with their families and caregivers. The outpatient clinics are part of an integrated continuum of specialized services that utilize a harm reduction model and evidence-based approaches in the treatment of mental health and addiction issues. These services are closely aligned with our Research Centres including the McCain Centre for Child, Youth and Family Mental Health and the Cundill Centre for Child and Youth Depression. As the outpatient manager your role will include managing access to services, several outpatient teams that provide assessments and individual and group treatment (i.e. Better Behaviours, Mood and Anxiety,) a Youth Urgent Care Clinic and strategic projects that support the development of these services. An integral part of this role will include supporting recruitment processes for research and evolving models of care. In the Child, Youth and Family Services, evidence-based practice and clinical research and education are closely integrated into the day-to-day work of teams. On a daily basis, the Manager is responsible for coordinating clinical programming, scheduling staff, supervising the interprofessional team, managing all aspects of human resources, and monitoring and analyzing budgetary and statistical data. The manager will participate in major projects that support the transformative agenda at CAMH and is part of the Child, Youth and Emerging Adult management team, supporting and participating in portfolio-wide activities. A Master’s Degree in a Health Discipline (Nursing, Social Work, Occupational therapy…etc), Health Administration or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive hospital-based management and/or supervisory experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. The successful candidate will be a member in good standing with your professional college (if applicable); have clinical expertise with the youth populations; and, will have a commitment to diversity and client-centred care. You will demonstrate an understanding of the multiple mandates of an academic health science environment and the commitment to supporting clinical research activities.
