The CSE manager will be responsible for leading a team of consulting system engineers distributed across Canada. The CSE is an elite team of senior engineers responsible for providing technical expert advice to the field engineers and the sales account teams. CSEs engage in large impact deals across a range of industries by advising the field engineers on the design, architecture and solutions that best fit the customer needs. CSEs are expected to shape the positive outcome of customer pre-sales engagements such as presentations, meetings, demonstrations and proof of concept (POC) activities. In the role, the CSE manager will work alongside with product management, sales and engineering leaders to achieve the revenue and organizational goals. CSE managers are expected to be mentors and team players, as such they need to have deep technical skills as well as a good grasp of the business and industry. Job Duties and Responsibilities CSE Managers are responsible for leading, maintaining and further developing the CSE team they manage. Manager's duties include recruiting, evaluating performance and developing the necessary skills engineers need to perform their work with excellence. CSE teams expand across multiple countries, managers need to have the necessary attitude and skills to effectively manage employees remotely, and across cultural and language borders. The manager also needs to have the ability to manage and motive a team of top performers and highly knowledgeable individuals. To that end, the manager must assist employees in their short and long-term development, and in alignment with the regional and corporate goals. The CSE manager should also work alongside with the other engineering and business leaders in the definition and implementation of resources and processes to help the organization achieve its objectives. Qualifications ( Education, Experience and Certifications ) • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. • 7+ years of proven experience in designing, building and supporting advanced security solutions in a customer facing role • 2+ years of demonstrated management, team lead or supervisory-level experience, ideally in an international and distributed environment • The optimal candidate will have a CISSP and/or CISM certification along with vendor specific certifications. Develop designs from initial concepts to final issue for construction (IFC) detailed design and specifications, respond to RFIs, conduct site inspections and ensure compliance, develop record drawings and project close out documentation. Act as Owner's Representative and site engineer to oversee airside pavement construction projects, conduct testing and review Contractor's documentation to assure all construction conforms to design and applicable codes/standards. Review pavement engineering analysis, designs, performance data, and reports. You will assist or act as the lead pavement engineer and/or project manager for the technical delivery of a variety of consultancy projects and work package in the field of pavement engineering. Play a part in managing our client relationships, including business and new client development to expand the scope of our existing services. Provide support and develop talents within the team through coaching and mentoring and supporting junior team members with their technical career development aspirations. Conduct pavement engineering analysis using various methodologies including ASTM D3540, AASHTO 1993, Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design, American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) for Concrete Pavement, and Geosynthetic Reinforcement Design, Transport Canada (TC) methodologies and FAARFIELD program. Ensuring project deliverables are prepared on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will plan, organize and conduct pavement investigations and analyses including pavement condition surveys and FWD, IRI, Rut, PCI, LCM and other data. You will collaborate with other team members or business lines to prepare proposals and expressions of interest considering the methodology for undertaking potential projects. Coordinating and carrying out sub-surface site investigations, including pavement coring, borehole logging, sampling of asphalt, soil, and rock and drainage condition surveys, as needed. Provide quality control and quality assurance of field data collection, analysis, interpretation, and incorporation into design. Recommend and oversee laboratory testing of materials, What you'll bring to WSP: You have a Degree in Civil Engineering or similar disciplines. You will have a minimum of 8 years experience in Pavement Engineering or a related field and a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) and/or Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) and/or other professional engineer association in Canada. Extensive knowledge and understanding of pavement design principles (Flexible, Rigid, Composite, and Gravel-surfaced Pavements) in airside runways, taxiways and aprons, pavement materials, pavement management and construction.
