The Role Student Assistant, Computer Lab (Computer Science) assists students with learning software in their courses by providing peer tutoring, including helping to troubleshoot programs during scheduled labs. This software includes Visual Studio, C++, Python, as well as file management in Windows and Internet Explorer.ResponsibilitiesAssist instructors and new students in the computer labs, at the New Westminster campus. To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need - Students must have completed CMPT 1105, CMPT 1109 or CMPT 1209 prior to the end of the Summer 2023 semester and received or expect to receive a B+ grade or higher.- Must have a basic working knowledge of C++, MS Visual Studio, Windows, and Internet Explorer. Knowledge of Python is an asset.Domestic students must meet ONE of the following criteria, to be eligible to work as a Student Assistant/Student Research Assistant: 1. The domestic student must be enrolled in, and maintain, a minimum of one or more (3 credit) courses at Douglas College throughout the work term; OR2.
