We have on site availability of full-service echocardiography facilities, a nuclear cardiology program and heart rhythm service to support the needs of residents of Northwest Toronto.   At present, the Cardiology Program is working on a multidimensional strategy to expand to a regional Cardiology Level 3 & 4 Program, with expansion of on-site invasive cardiology procedures.   Our Ambulatory Cardiac Care Clinic offers a wide range of services, with annual patient visits exceeding 25,000.  The Clinic is supported by an interdisciplinary team that includes Cardiologists, Echo sonographers, cardiology technologists, registered nurses, and clerical associates, to provide a range of services from prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of heart disease in both adult and paediatric populations.   We have an on-site Pacemaker Implantation Program that works collaboratively with our Interventional Radiology Suite. The Program is equipped to handle complicated pacemaker implant cases, including leadless implants and cases involving the left bundle area. We also have on-site support from a paediatric cardiologist.  A busy outpatient pacemaker/device clinic supports the implant program. We work with Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre to provide services for implantation of defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapies. Our cardiac Cath lab services are also currently coordinated with Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.   Position Summary   HRH is seeking an experienced Cardiac Electrophysiologist to support heart rhythm services on a part-time basis. This position offers the opportunity to work with the current two (2) full-time electrophysiologists in the Cardiology Division. The successful candidate will have access to time in an interventional suite for pacemaker implantation and be able to utilize the Ambulatory Cardiac Clinic for outpatient cardiac consultations and be part of a fully functional Pacemaker Assessment Clinic.   Qualifications   The successful candidate must be a fully trained cardiologist with a strong academic background and hold a certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent. They must have completed a dedicated cardiac electrophysiology fellowship.
