In this role, you will provide strong interpersonal skills, commitment to learning and teaching in project-based ways and provide an enthusiastic learning environment for students. Plan and organize materials ahead of time so when the children arrive, the room and the Educators are ready to engage with children. Provide positive ways for family engagement for learning success and provide a welcoming space that draws parents into the classroom. Assess and document student learning daily. Assist children with self-care (i.e. dressing, diapering, feeding) Usage of provided device daily while students are not in the room for communications and the documentation of student observation process. Cleaning protocols such as: all centre and tabletop materials that are reusable are to be cleaned following the covid protocols, and all dishes and utensils are to be washed and sanitized before leaving school for the day.  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be patient, flexible, observant, and passionate. Must have communications skills such as: verbal and nonverbal, active listening, and empathy. To follow the provincial Ministry of Education curricula and focuses on holistic child development including the social-emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual domains.   Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a recognized post-secondary Diploma as a Kindergarten Teacher Experience in teaching First Nations students at a remote community would be an asset.
